My Bookish Posts:

My favorite Jane Austen Swag.

My thoughts about NOT reading The Game of Thrones series.

Marking the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter.

Across the Web:

I’ve read a lot about cults in the last six months, so this essay on Lit Hub really caught my attention.

Across the Blogosphere:

Because I’m always looking for ways to improve my blog.

Yesterday, July 30, 2017, was the 199th anniversary of Emily Brontë’s birth.

I love to read what others think of  one of my favorite books, Jane Eyre.

Why Literature Matters is a great companion piece to the Lit Hub essay I linked above.

How was your month of July? Did you read a lot or a little? Did you read anything that rocked your world? Let me know in the comments below.

    1. Well, thank you for such a great piece on what you’ve learned blogging. I’m just a little over a year and am always looking for ways to improve. I haven’t started Fierce Kingdom yet, so I’ll be interested to see what you think of it.

    1. Thank you! At the first of the year I set my GoodReads goal at 52 books. A month or two ago I upped it to 75. I picked 75 since that is the number I read in 2016. I decided that low balling it was, I don’t know, cheating? Or something?

  2. Congratulations on an excellent July, Loreen:). I think you should feel really pleased about a thoroughly successful month’s blogging. Are you struggling with Funny Girl? Or did you just run out of time? I hope you have a wonderful August reading!

    1. Thanks, Sarah. I think I wrote more original pieces in July than any other month so far. My next goal is to up my book reviews. 😎 I love what I’ve read of Funny Girl. I like Nick Hornby’s writing quite a bit. I borrowed it electronically from the library and I started it just before it was due. And someone else now has it checked out. I’ve put a hold on it so I will get it as soon as they return it. Such are the trails and tribulations when borrowing from the library. 😎
