It’s time for Friday 56! It’s a book meme hosted by Freda at Freda’s Voice. Be sure to visit her blog if you would like to participate!
From Freda’s Voice The Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*Post it.
*Add your (url) post in the Linky on Friday 56. Add the post url, not your blog url.
*It’s that simple!
Okay, this actually page 55 of the book, but I used it because I love Queen Catherine De Medici’s quotation at the top of the page!
What do you think of this excerpt? Would you read this book? Let me know in the comments below. Don’t forget to leave your link below so I can visit your blog. Happy Reading!
Is this the book that inspired the tv show Reign?

I’m not sure since I’ve not watched Reign. Is it worth watching?

Who would be a queen? It sounds like a great book.

I think its pretty obvious that being the consort is a raw deal for the women involved! I love history lite books about royalty, it’s another one of my guilty pleasures.
