Reflections an Open Apology to Dolly Parton is an interesting exploration of this bloggers feelings about Dolly Parton. I think Dolly has been dismissed by many people over the years, and this is a nice examination of the writer’s reversal of opinion.
I have an Instagram account, but I really don’t know how to use it. This article, Extend Your Blog’s Reach With Instagram, really helped me see how to use my account.

Oooh, how are you liking Ready Player One so far? I love that book. The audio version is particularly delightful. I managed eight of my own books for the read my own damn books thing this month, which was astounding as that was probably half of what i managed the whole of 2016. Haha. How was Leah Remini’s book? I’ve heard so many interesting things about it!
I read all my own books in January, my first time being able to say that since I started #readmyowndamnbooks last year. So I’m happy with my January. 🙂 Here’s my wrap-up:

I liked Remini’s book a lot, and it’s probably because I’ve been watching her show about Scientology on A&E this past month. I think the show is fascinating. And that’s why I read the book. I wanted to find out how she became involved in that religion. And she is so likeable on the show and she has the same persona and voice in the book. Reading about how Scientology treats Tom Cruise is insane. If the stories Leah shares on the TV are true, then Tom will have much to explain in the future.
I’m writing a quickie review of the book this week, and the plan is to post it before the end of the week. Now I’m off to visit your blog. 😎

So Elizabeth Boyle must be good, right? I’ve JUST started reading romance (two by Sarah MacLean) and I liked them both. Perhaps I should try Boyle. Always looking for recommendations as I’m super new to the genre.

I seem to go on a binge read of romance novels in the deep, dark winter. I think I’m going to write about that in the near future. Anyway, I do like Elizabeth Boyle’s novels, but some better than others. All of the books I read last month were a part of the series/world. And some of the same characters show up as either the main protagonist or minor characters in almost every book. My favorites from the list are Something About Emmeline and Stealing the Bride. My least favorite is This Rake is Mine which is sad since I love the title.
I’ve also read a number of Sarah MacLean books too (she was my binge a year or two ago!) and my favorite is from the The Rule of Scoundrels series One Good Earl Deserves a Lover (and I love the punny fun of this title). The heroine is a nerdy, glasses-wearing woman who gets the super hot wicked bad boy earl. 😎 If you read it let me know what you think.

Fantastic month! I think Dolly Parton gets a bad rap for being a “bimbo” but in reality she is very intelligent and a very generous woman. She does so much for her community and for those in need all over.
