After the horror of July, I’m determined to get back on the wagon. I’m behind on Book Riot Reader Harder 2016 challenge and need to get more tasks completed.
Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith , J.K. Rowling, Robert Glenister [ebook/audio book]
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany & Jack Thorne. {Read Harder 2016 Challenge}
One Foot in Eden by Ron Rash {Skype Book Club}
A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic #1) by V.E. Schwab , Victoria Schwab [eBook]
I Am America (And So Can You!) by Stephen Colbert, et. al. {Read Harder 2016 Challenge}
The Sharper Your Knife, The Less You Cry by Kathleen Flinn {Read Harder 2016 Challenge}
My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante
What books are you planning on reading in August? Have you read any on my list? What do you think of my list? Let me know in the comments. Happy reading!
Ooh, I hope you like A Darker Shade of Magic. I finally read it after seeing it recommending by what seemed like a billion bloggers and thought it was really good. Schwab’s characters are great.

I enjoyed My Brilliant Friend but loved the second and third in Ferrante’s series even more. I’ve not yet read the fourth. They have a fierce quality of writing about them, and the setting in Naples in the 1950s was fascinating to me.
A Darker Shade of Magic is on my TBR and I have a copy at home.
My August reading plans include finishing Lab Girl by Hope Jahren and Open City by Teju Cole. Those are the last two of my #10BooksofSummer, from Cathy’s #20BooksofSummer challenge at her blog 746Books.

I’m behind on my reading challenges and have fallen of the wagon for the #ReadMyOwnDamnBooks challenge. So I’m trying to get three or four challenge books read this month and read My Brilliant Friend which isn’t a part of any reading challenge. Fingers crossed.

I’m so looking forward to reading it this weekend. And I need to speed through it because the library won’t renew it for me.

Aw. You won’t be noticing you’re almost done once you start to enjoy it! And it’s really hard to put down. 🙂

A Darker Shade of Magic is one on my radar, too. BUT I have sooo many other great books on my TBR – I must get some of them read first! I like your planned reading for the month – hope you enjoy them all:)

Thank you! I’m sliding in A Darker Shade of Magic since I waited so long on the library waiting list. It’s always a juggling act trying to figure out what to read and when to read it. What are your reading plans for the next month?

I’m reading a lot of children’s books with my grandson:) For my own joy – I’m currently in the middle of Spiderlight by Adrian Tchaikovsky and loving it – and after that, I’ve got Autonomy by Jude Houghton, followed by Jen Williams’ The Silver Tide, as I’ve loved her series so far and want more. Then it’s Spellbreaker by Blake Charlton – after that… I’m sure something else will jostle its way to the fore. I don’t like planning too far in advance:))

Nice list! My Brilliant Friend is in my TBR as well. Right now I’m reading the backlist title “The Language of Flowers” by Vanessa Diffenbaugh, which I’m really enjoying.
